Please tell me you are kidding

Here is a quote from The Post and Courier in an article titled "Nobody Looks Like Me"

Black mentors are very important to black students, said senior Giovanni Richardson. "To be honest, we're more comfortable talking to someone who looks like us," she said.

Now I'm a white male so I knooow I have no perspective on anything - if you can't tell I'm rolling my eyes - but what if I said this same thing? That I was more comfortable learning from a white professor.

Now I'm all for diversity and I welcome all opinions, but come on! Until we start acting like race isn't an issue RACE IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE AN ISSUE. The African American community included.

Stop with the Jimmy-legs!

I realize it might be a bad habit. And I realize you probably do not even realize it, but PLEASE STOP WITH THE JIMMY-LEGS!! You are shaking the entire floor and my monitor shakes along with it. It's bad enough you stare at me every time you come back to your desk but now you have to be irritating without even trying.

Miler Properties in Summerville

This has to be the one of the most disorganized, least customer friendly places in Summerville. Not only did they blatantly lie to my face about switching utilities out of my name, but they never called about my security deposit OR tried to work anything out with the home owner. They must think they can treat people this way because they are one of the bigger "players" in town. Keep treating customers like this and see how your business does. And top all this off with Beth being rude when I called to inquire.

Screw you Miler Properties! I hope your business dries up soon.

Agreed!
Thanks to them the home of a very dear friend of mine was broken into and some rather valuable things were stolen, all because the person in charge couldn't "find the time" to get a key that THEY(Miler Properties) left out in the open.

Turn the ringer off!

If you work in a place with no walls and there are other people trying to work around you THEN TURN OFF YOUR DAMN CELL PHONE RINGER. Now-a-days you can actually put phones on vibrate. Amazing, I know.

Quit being a selfish prick and turn your ringer off.

Does anybody really think customers care if the "grunts" down at the local software shop wear jeans to work? I can see why you'd want the ones interacting with the clients to "look sharp", but the people sitting behind their desks all day? .... Really?

- The kind that ridicules your team in a passive aggressive way
- The kind that will find yourself lonely because nobody - including your family - is good enough

WTF?

How do you wreck your car on the interstate? I''m not talking to you poor people that get hit by one of these fools but the fools themselves.

On the interstate, everyone is going relatively the same speed and you hit someone?

Pay attention, keep a safe distance AND QUIT RUINING THE DAY FOR THE REST OF US!

Lalos, Central Ave in Summerville

I know we''re all on hard financial times, but when my family and I decide to go out then we, at the very least, want what we''re paying for. The order was not only wrong - and it''s not the first time - but I literally had 15 chips on a $6 plate of nachos. We live close and used to frequent Lalos often, but we will definitely think twice before going again. You should too.

What is with Latin restaurants in this town? I haven''t found an all-around good one yet.

The SAME thing happened to my family when we went there. My husband got like three grains of rice and spoonful of beans on a meal that cost $10! Don''t forget to mention the extremely loud music you can barely talk over. Who likes MC Hammer these days?

Why is it that so many lowcountry residents think it is okay to pull out in front of other cars? It is not okay so just relax, take your time and DO NOT PULL OUT IN FRONT OR OTHER PEOPLE!
